SPECIALTY CAMPS

Specialty Camps are held on the main campus, or on the new property adjacent to the main campus, but have different activities than a typical main camp week.

Specialties Weeks

This year we again have two Specialties Weeks for students in 5th-7th grade and one Specialties Week for High School students. The 2025 Schedule will include:

  • High School Specialties (June 1-6): 
    Worship, Art, Sports (Basketball, Pickleball, Disc-golf, Kickball, Rock Climbing, Volleyball) and new this year, Adventure Outdoor Sports Camp.    ​

These unique events offer campers the opportunity to sharpen their skills in a specialty of their choice, while also learning more about following God's unique will for our lives. All ranges of skills in each specialty are welcome, from beginner to experienced.

Work Study

Work Study

This pre-camp event is an opportunity for older campers (grades 9-13) and faculty to provide much needed volunteer service work at Wonder Valley to prepare the facility for the camp season each year. There is no fee for this event! However, participants must still register and submit a letter of recommendation from their minister or pastor.

Youth Leadership Boot Camp

Youth Leadership Boot Camp

This single-day event​ is an intensive, high energy training session for students in grades 7-12 who may want to serve as junior faculty during various weeks of camp. We focus on communication, leadership, teambuilding and responsibility. (Participation in YLBC does not guarantee you will be selected to serve as Jr. Faculty. Those decisions are left to the deans of each event.)

G.R.A.C.E. is an acronym that stands for God Revealing Abilities Courageously Every day. This event (formerly called Handi-Camp) is for people of all ages with physical and mental disabilities. ​A special application form is needed to register for this event.
